  20. Ok. Pre-release Lightwave NT is around the corner and I'm going Alpha. So,
  21. I've got the same problem everyone else around here has, gotta find the right
  22. machine. Only It's a little more complicated for me. You see, I live in
  23. Brazil and it isn't really that easy to get the sort of info needed to make a
  24. desision. So, I ask for help. Can anyone tell me what kind of basic Alpha
  25. configuration I need to work decently with Lightwave? Price is an important
  26. factor, being that prices down here can be up to twice as much as they ar in
  27. the US. What about video boards like Targa, will they work in an Alpha
  28. machine. So far I've only found Alpha machines from Digital, are there any
  29. other makers with representatives in Brazil? What kind of speed increase will
  30. I get from different clock speeds (275MHz, 233MHz, 225Mhz, 166MHz, etc.) in
  31. relation to my A3000 040 33Mhz. Any information will help. Please respond to
  32. my address, so we don't clutter the list with a bunch of hardware info.
